Off the Peg & Custom Jewellery
I have a number of off-the-peg ranges which you can buy any time.
BUT ... lets say you like a design, but the colour scheme is not right for you, or maybe you'd like to change the size of the pearls, you want more sparkle, or totally different beads? My custom service can fix it! I make the standard design, but with your special options added to it. An economical way to own a unique item of jewellery!
Here's an example. The picture on the left shows a standard 'Selina' bracelet. In the middle is a custom version which was made for a Valentine Ball. I have changed the pearls from white round ones to coffee coloured heart shaped ones, and finished the body of the bracelet in a slightly different way. Another variation is shown on the right.
Bespoke Jewellery
Are you looking for jewellery which is unique, special, to fit your special personality, that special occasion? Jewellery that is made to fit you properly and compliment your outfit or gown?
Bespoke jewellery is my premium service. Everything is designed and made just for you, for your wedding or other occasion. In my gallery you can see a large photo of Gemma, left, who chose this option for her bridal jewellery, and was thrilled with the result!
If you choose bespoke, if possible (depending on distance) I will visit you, so we can work on your designs together. I'll get your opinions, show you some samples, and make some initial sketches.
I will then make more sketches - initially very simple ones - showing the main colours and style of clothing to be worn, like the ones on this page, with some very simple ideas on shape of the jewellery. We can then look at them from a distance, and compare effect.
From this initial analysis of your needs, we can then start to make decisions about style, size, colour, shape, etc and I can make more detailed sketches, or use photos which I manipulate on the computer, to show further options.
Between us we will come to an agreement which says what it is I am making for you and how much it will cost. A deposit secures your order, and I can then make the jewellery of your dreams!
There will be a lead time of at least a few weeks on bespoke service, as details can take take time to work out, materials to source, and for hallmarking to be done.
We continue in this way until we have all the details sorted. At this point, when we are all satisfied, I will then make a detailed document stating what the item(s) are, including some of the drawings / photos, a list of materials, and costings. This becomes the basis of the contract for bespoke jewellery.
We can deal with amendments and finally, you sign it to say that is what you want and that is what I should provide. This all could take a day or two, or if you need lots of amendments, a couple of weeks. I will at this point ask for a 20% deposit.
From this point it will take me a few weeks to source the proper materials, make the work, and have it hallmarked, so make sure if you want bespoke service, you let me know at least 2 months before the date of your occasion!
