Wirework Jewellery Making Workshops

Workshops are located in Calcutt and Forest Moor Village Hall, Calcutt, just outside Knaresborough.

They run from 10.30am to 3.30pm.

Cost is just ₤25 per workshop, including all materials and use of all necessary hand tools.

Light refreshments provided, but please bring a packed lunch.

Free parking is available around the building and on streets nearby.

Small travelling shop available for additional basic supplies.

Places are limited, and bookings must be made in advance.

Please return a deposit as soon as possible.

Upcoming Workshops:

sample of jewelleryTWISTED WIRE AND BEAD CREATIONS -
Saturday 20th September

In this workshop, we will learn a simple method of twisting wire strengthen and stiffen it, and to hold beads in place.  We will make branches of twisted wire and connect them together to make jewellery of your choice.  sample of jewelleryThis method is best suited to making strong but delicate looking necklaces tiaras and earrings, but can be adapted for bracelets and other items of jewellery.

Two of my necklaces using variations of this method are soon to be featured in 2 major magazines - be amongst the first to try it out!

HAMMERED WIRE AND BEADED NECKLACE – Saturday 18th October

Firstly we experiment with a few variations on link shapes, then when you have chosen your favourite links and made the number you need, we will learn how best to hammer them to give them strength and texture.  We’ll connect them up to make a necklace, and make a pendant from beads to add to the front.  If there is time, we will use the methods to make bracelets, earrings or other jewellery of your choice.

 

CHRISTMAS JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS - Saturday 29th November

This is your chance to make jewellery for yourself or for sample of jewellerygifts, and / or things to hang in your window or on your tree! (Or wear as a big pendant and make a big statement).  sample of jewelleryThe theme is Christmas, and with this in mind, we’ll work with festive colours, and make shapes such as stars and trees, from tiny earrings to larger shapes suitable for hanging in the home. Lots of sparkly beads will be available, and you can be as neat or as wild as you like with this one!

PLEASE NOTE:
I am away for the second half of August, so bookings will be acknowledged from the first week of September. Don't let that stop you booking well in advance to ensure you have a place! I can reserve a place temporarily if you can't print a booking form - just let me know.
